New to our range of services is our battery recycling service. Used batteries are classed as Hazardous Waste and require recycling. We have a scheme in place to effectively and hygienically uplift and recycle them on your behalf.
We will provide you with “sacks” into which you put your batteries. It is acceptable to put all your usual AA, AAA, 9v C and D style batteries in the same sack, whether they are standard, alkaline or “Ultra” varieties. Other varieties, like rechargeable batteries, lead acid or emergency lighting batteries need to be put in separate sacks for each type. Let us know how many sacks you require.
The recycling of batteries is charged by their weight. Each sack takes up to 50kg of used batteries. When your sack requires collection, simply call us and we will collect it and provide you with certification to show your environmental friendliness. The sack will be weighed on site here before an exact price can be charged. We will then send you a new sack.
